We friends and family of total 10 persons with 3 kids had planned a trip to north India 3 months before from AK tours and travels for Shimla Manali and then Delhoussie
Travel with AK tours is a NIGHTMARE
That too the one which you wouldn't wish for your worst enemy.
Sadly there is no negative star here. Coz I want to review AK tours with the most negative rating possible.
These guys are no where close to professionalism.
Our tour was Delhi - Shimla- manali- Dalhousie-Delhi.We had to skip Dalhousie from the tour ... We were so tired of being held at ransom for every hotel checkout.
Everyone was trying to squeeze money from us. Hotels, vehicle driver, outsourced agency from Chandigarh everyone,and we were stuck with these demons along with family, including 3 small kids.
At Delhi we were made to wait for 4 hours for our vehicle to arrive. After stressfull follow up and constant calling they sent vehicles that too, 2 seperate cars instead on one big tempo traveller. Forced to split our group and travel to Chandigarh. Family was split. ....and we were supposedly on a tour for family time.
Somehow after reaching Chandigarh finally got the tempo traveller whose quality was jus about ok.
The Shimla hotel was not the one which was promised, we were forced to checkin to hotel called Himani, which had dingy rooms, smelly linen- smelled of fungi, choked bathrooms.
Again at check out 3 of our male members were held at the hotel reception because AK tours did not make our payments on time
The same was repeated at the time of check out from Manali.
And all the company representatives nicely will stop answering your calls, or phones switched off.
After trying to reach them from a zillion different numbers they finally answered and we were witnessing an hour long conference call between AK tours and Thier Chandigarh counterpart.
The conversation was largely make payment and we shall let your travellers go. Where as to your surprise, our tour was fully prepaid for.
Never ever book from these guys and make sure and pray none of the people you know have to ever book through these guys what soever
The only good section of the tour which was Mumbai to Delhi and Delhi- Mumbai (start and end of the tour) this was booked by us directly, Rajdhani express and flight for our return.
